From 1994 – 2004, Casey was the lead singer and hyper-dynamic frontwoman for hard rock band The Mimsies. Started at a poker game in the cozy college burg of Norman, Oklahoma, the band moved to Los Angeles in January of 2000.  In their time together, The Mimsies played innumerable live shows, including stints on the Vans Warped Tour (where they played Main Stage, among other things), tours with rock legends L.A. Guns and Faster Pussycat, appearances at Sundance Film Festival, South by Southwest, Amnesty International’s Groovefest and extensive tour dates all over North America.  In the near-decade they were together, they generated major label interest, celebrity fans, a pressbook full of rave reviews from publications including the L.A. Weekly and the New York Times, and best of all, a fiercely devoted fan base comprised of members from around the globe.

Casey is currently working on her first solo album, due out in winter, 2011.

UPDATE:  On November 26th, 2010, The Mimsies reunited for a sold-out gig at Oklahoma City’s Blue Note.  The show was a rousing success, and all four members of the current lineup (Casey, Jerod Vance, Edward Van Buskirk and Brooks Emery) agreed they will be playing more shows in the near future.
